Gold Philosophy, a luxury jewelry distributor, screams bold, sophisticated, and one-of-a-kind with its collection of sparkling items. Founders and sisters Katy and Ting Lee launched the site, goldphilosophy.com, this past May; however, the idea has been in the making since they were children. Growing up, they joined their father on scavenger adventures to collect precious stones, which cemented their appreciation (and obsession) with jewels and minerals. 

“Our aesthetics cannot be more different,” says Katy. ” I love bold, eccentric costume jewelry while my sister leans more towards delicate pieces. But our backgrounds in fashion merchandising and graphic design made creating Gold Philosophy an obvious decision.”

Through a catchy and inspirational blog named Philosophy of Gold Digging, Gold Philosophy has taken jewelry shopping to another level. And it’s all been thanks to the sisters, who bring their unique taste in when choosing the designers to feature in their selection. Forecasting what they would wear with their own wardrobe, they hand-pick designers for the design but also around what their companies represent. 

Currently their designers range from the bold and vintage Elizabeth Cole to the sophisticated Susanna Dai. Katy says that Spring 2013 will bring more fine jewelry and lower price point items. Customers can look forward to new designers including the New York-based Asha, along with some international names.
